Happy New Year! We had a wholesome Christmas break, spent with our children making memories to last a lifetime. But we are now back at it and looking forward to what the year has in stall for us. As wedding season typically begins in May, the winter months are a time for reflection, re-coupling and building.

After making the decision to change the business name at the end of 2024, we have been spending some time to grow our social presence again. We were well aware of the toll that a name change can have on social engagement and activity, so we are working hard to spread the word about what we have to offer, to current and prospective followers. We now massively appreciate creating a network and community of people that all support each other and help push growth for small businesses.

A lot of our time has also been spent working on our latest trailer… all will be revealed in due course, but we can say that in true Fletcher fashion,, it’s not your average form of event entertainment. Micheal is taking on the job of renovating and creating the new trailer and all that it needs to encompass. We then plan on getting it bespokely sign written by our very talented friend Colin, to make sure that it has the same high-quality finish as our Barrel O’ Fun, Lawn Games.

2024 ROUND UP

Wow. What a year!

Our first full year in business and it’s been a blast. As with any new business, we’ve learnt more than we ever imagined and I’m sure we will continue to! 

The Mobile Retro Arcade has been to an array of different events from weddings and 40th birthday parties, to the UK tattoo show and Mutt Motorcycles Early Hook Up. And our Barrel O’ Fun, Lawn Games have been to weddings and events all over the midlands. 

We have some new ventures in the workshop ready for 2025 and we can’t wait to share the details with you. 

We’ve met some fabulous people along the way and as always, we’re sure extremely grateful for all the love, support and feedback we’ve received.

Evolving

We have recently tweaked our business name from Fletchers Mobile Arcade to Fletchers Event Entertainment, we made the decision after our first year of trading and like with any good adventure, we recognised the need to evolve.

We originally started with just the Mobile Retro Arcade (hence the name) and back in the beginning, we didn’t have any plans for any other hireables.. but a couple of months into 2024 we began to explore of expanding. Michael had a Barrel Trailer in stock and after a little brain storming, we settled on the Barrel O’ Fun, our selection of lawn games. We wanted to stay with the fairground / Arcade theme so we lent towards the vintage, carnival design.  

It was after our first few bookings with the Barrel O’ Fun, that we realised our business name was possibly making us less discoverable for prospective customers and with more up our sleeve for 2025, we wanted to make sure we were accessible to all events and not just those of people who loved the Mobile Retro Arcade… from then we became Fletchers Event Entertainment. A small business built on family heritage and delivering unique, quality entertainment to weddings and event throughout the Midlands and beyond!

Introduction.

Hello, The Fletchers here – Micheal and Hollie. After our first full year in business, we wanted to take a little moment to introduce ourselves and explain our vision with Fletchers Event Entertainment.

Micheal is a 5th generation showman, The Fletchers have been providing entertainment in the form of arcades and fairgrounds for over 100 years. When looking for a project to get our teeth into in our ‘spare’ time, we landed on creating a Mobile Retro Arcade. A niche, but a unique addition to the wedding entertainment market. This way we would be continuing the families tradition with the Arcade legacy, by embarking on a journey with family history at its core. After a few months building the trailer and then launching, we were overwhelmed by the love and great feedback and ever since, we have been delivering fabulous entertainment to weddings and events up and down the country, putting the show back on the road.

We then decided to start the ‘fleet’ in the form of our Barrel O’Fun, a selection of lawn games, again hand built by Micheal and then bespokely sign written by Colin at Tattersyard. We wanted to create a different take on what lawn games are currently available to hire, so we continued to lean into the family history and made the Barrel O’ Fun vintage fairground themed. We may be bias, but they really are a work of art and have become a huge success in 2024. We’re very grateful to all the lovely couples that have let us supply them for their weddings.

Moving forward with our Event Entertainment business, we have a few things in the pipe line ready to Launch in 2025.. So keep your eyes peeled for what’s next on our journey!
